1. You should have a blast having it taken (because this is what you will remember every time you look at it)

2. Everyone you love should be invited to join in and be photographed ( Including YOU – which, in fairness, is why you are probably booking me in the first place). It costs no more to invite extended family, to invite those friends you love or family members you rarely see. EVERY TIME you have a get-together you should be thinking of a photographer!!

3. Your final images should be printed. Because this is the only way these memories will survive the ravages of technological change and you will still be able to look at it in 30 years time.

So, this is the usual plan:-

” Zero Stress Sessions” with NO time restraints and NO rigid posing rules. If the kids/dogs/both need to run around for the first 30 minutes just to let off steam – that’s fine with me. If we’ve got 90 year old grandparents joining us and need to be super quick – that’s fine with me too.

PLUS –  as much help as you need BEFORE your session getting everyone in the right zone not to mention the right clothes.

Or, if the latter is just TOTALLY a step too far….. we do everything in Black and White.

Honestly….we really do!

I’m a Mum/Wife/Daughter/Stressed-With-Life/Real Human Being too. I know what this can be like to try to organise:-

Your other half is probably horrified even at the thought and would rather do anything else other than this thing you’re trying to organise 

You’re eyeing up your two year old wondering if the photographer has even heard of the Terrible Two’s ( yes she has – she’s even managed to get her Terrible-Two through University and out the other side)

The teenagers would rather stick pins in their eyes.

You’ve got elderly parents and you’re wondering if they’re even physically up to it and if the photographer has any idea what she’s letting herself in for attempting to get two practically deaf Octogenarians on walking frames into a family group ( Yes she has….. the photographer regularly gets her 92 year old mother plus walking frame into a MIni and around Tesco’s.  So I am probably 10 years ahead of you in the ‘coping’ stakes)

And then you look at the washing and wonder if you can even get everyone in CLEAN clothes at the same time and on the same day, let alone in co-ordinating ones (I mean – lets face it – what family really has matching beige chinos and white t-shirts?)

Then you look in the mirror….and wonder if you SHOULD perhaps loose that half a stone and THEN think about booking?

And then you just give up – because there is just TOO much to think about.

And another year rolls by.

Don’t worry – I SO get it.

Just DO it!  Get booked in and it’ll be a hundred times easier than you think! Just choose somewhere lovely**. And that can be whatever works for YOU. It can be the park. The garden. Granny’s Garden.  Granny’s garden in her nursing home. Your caravan in Wales. Your holiday home in Scotland. Your private island in the Bahamas. 

Or come to me. It won’t be quite the same as your private island in the Bahamas but we do farm at home and I can guarantee I can find a lovely spot outside. 

And never dismiss the pub as a location. If you’ve booked a family meal for something lovely – I’ll meet you there. We’ll just gather them all together and do something super special before you eat. It hardly gets any easier than that (AND they can all have a drink. AND you don’t have to cook).

Your session fee includes:-

As much help as you need beforehand to prepare.

As long as we need on the day to create as many beautiful portraits as we can. Times will vary depending on the number of people and pets you are bringing and their ages but expect me to be with you for somewhere between one and two hours. And don’t forget – if you are bringing extended family and/or friends – then I will happily split your session fee between you all.

All post production work to beautifully tone and edit your images in the iconic Annie Bee Style

EVERY beautifully finished digital portrait taken on the day downloadable direct from your gallery (no – you don’t have to come back unless you want to!) supplied as full size, high resolution digital files with no watermark and suitable for any purpose with full printing rights.

And because digital portraits are not what Annie Bee is about you will also receive your choice of a beautiful keepsake Memory Magazine to tell your story or a Fine Art print framed at 16×12 and ready to hang.

*MODEL RELEASES – a signed model release allows me to use your beautiful portraits to show other people the sort of thing I do. It may be on Social Media. It may be in advertising. It may be for competitions. It might even be in a book (it’s on the List of Dreams!!) And it might even include video! Most of my clients are more than happy to do this but I still like to offer you a discount if this is you – because if everyone suddenly said ‘NO’ then I would be forced to employ ACTUAL models to showcase my work and I would have to pay them anyway!! 

To date I have NEVER employed models and – truthfully- it is not a route I want to have to start to take. It is super important to me that what I show is authentic. It is very easy to take a beautiful portrait of someone who has been TRAINED to be in front of a camera. I want MY clients to see what I can do for very REAL people – warts and all!!

What can I do with my images?

That is not a decision I make for you! It is really important to ME that you have something tangible. Digital portraits (despite what you think!) have no longevity. 100 years from now they will be completely inaccessible. And that is why I INCLUDE your Memory Magazine or framed Fine Art print with your session fee.

But I will also give you as much help as you need afterwards to create something equally beautiful if that’s what you would love – maybe for the wall. Maybe an album (these sessions, with lots and lots of images, lend themselves beautifully to one of my sumptuous Italian albums and it is super easy to upgrade your Memory Magazine to a beautifully bound album). Or maybe you would love a Portrait Box – a treasure trove of memories. But that choice is YOURS – and truthfully it is a decision that you can’t even THINK about until you have seen your images.

And don’t forget that any digital files are YOURS. Share them on Facebook. Become an Instagram Influencer. Update your ‘About Me ‘ page on your website. I want you to enjoy them!!
